Experience

Through Skylight, Laura currently leads UXR strategy for BESPIN – a United States Air Force software factory. She’s helping transform the organization by strategically leveraging user-centered insights and design to influence and guide key leaders, decisions, and enterprise-wide initiatives. Laura has proven history leading teams focused on creating digital products that result in improved engagement and increased user satisfaction.

At Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Laura worked hand in hand with product analysts, content strategists, UI/UX designers and behavior scientists, to help set the vision and development for phase 0-to-1 digital solutions. Her work at Bayer informed and inspired the creation of a Women Health mid-life symptom relief digital solution, which used a cognitive behavioral treatment approach.

At Kaiser Permanente, Laura helped grow the organization’s first innovation and design internal department. She lead research efforts across the organization spanning diverse initiatives and helping leaders understand and leverage human-centered insights into their work and priorities. She then pivoted to help build and pitch an employee engagement and retention department to the CEO, which resulted in direct funding and positioning within the Office of the CEO. The department created several new employee programs that resulted in an increase in employee satisfaction and retention.

Whether she’s leading the design of a new digital health product, or managing a team of designers and researchers – she put users front and center. She’s driven by true needs and aspirations, hopes and fears, and everyone’s desire for a brighter future.
